The Celts were already using this nutritious plant back in the Bronze Age. Camelina sativa (to use its full name), is native to Europe and has pretty much been forgotten as a crop. But it produces a delicious oil which naturally contains high omega 3 (35.66g per 100g!) and antioxidants. Itās got a light flavour, with hints of fresh peas and almonds, and a high smoke point of 246Ā°C.
With all this goodness, we knew it deserved a comeback. So now we grow camelina without pesticides on our family farm in Scotland. Then itās carefully cold pressed and bottled, to preserve all the goodness. We hope you enjoy it!
